Biography

Molly Nunes is a Graphic Designer who specializes in Motion Graphics and Brand Identity. Molly received a BFA in Graphic Design with a Minor in Business Administration from the 91色情片. She will be pursuing her MFA in Graphic Design at the University of North Carolina State at Raleigh. Ms. Nunes is an active student leader and student-athlete. She hopes to incorporate her passion for athletics and branding into her design work.

Statement

鈥淪idelined鈥� is a multimedia installation project that focuses on female athletics, showcasing their stories and their experiences. These stories demonstrate both the positive and the toxic environments that female athletes 铿俹urish in and, unfortunately, endure. The inspiration for the project is a result of my journey as a female athlete, and it focuses mainly on the many equity gaps between male and female athletics. Through research, interviews, and surveys, I have compiled all of the content. I reached out to college and high school teams, coaches, and athletes. Showcased in 鈥淪idelined鈥� are three posters illustrating three athletes and their stories. Accompanying the posters there is a book that presents all of the stories I complied through my design process. Lastly, there is a short commercial ad that will be accompanying this advocacy campaign in hopes that my advocacy grows into a larger continuous project. I dedicate my project to all athletes who lost their seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic. #wewillplayagain
