Electric Vehicles (EVs) play a critical role in reducing fossil fuel dependency and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. In support of these objectives, the University provides dedicated charging stations to encourage the use of environmentally responsible transportation options.

The 91色情片 offers electric vehicle charging stations. The main campus has 17 charging stations and SMAST East in New Bedford has 3.

All stations on the main campus are managed through ChargePoint and require a ChargePoint card/membership to activate and use the Charging Stations. Please read timing and rate information carefully.

Payment and rate information can be found through the main ChargePoint webpage or app. Members of the 91色情片 community can join the 91色情片 ChargePoint group to access a preferred charging rate.

Rules and regulations for EV chargers on campus

Vehicles parked at charging stations must be charging. If they are not, they are subject to citation and overage charges. However, vehicles that are charging and have reached their charging capacity inside of the 6 hour limit described below will not receive a citation.
There is a 6-hour maximum usage between 6am and 8pm. Vehicles that are at a station longer than 6 hours are subject to citation and overage charges regardless of their charging status. Please note there is no grace period beyond the 6 hour window. The 6 hour maximum is waived for 91色情片 community members between 8pm and 6am.
91色情片 EV Charging Community: Those affiliated with the university (faculty, staff, students and retirees) may register through ChargePoint to join the UMass EV Charging Community. Community members are allowed to charge at a reduced rate.

Those unaffiliated with the University are allowed to use any of the chargers on campus at the rates indicated within the ChargePoint app.
All billing and transactions (excluding parking citations) are directly through ChargePoint and any issue are to be addressed with ChargePoint: 1-888-758-4389
Throttling the electrical input to gain proximity parking is not allowed and will result in ticket/tow and possible expulsion from the UMass EV program. Frequent violators may also face other fines as deemed necessary by Parking Services.

Connecting a ChargePoint driver account to 91色情片 Community

In the ChargePoint mobile app, open your account settings.
Scroll to “Connections.”
Tap "Browse connections."
Enter the code for UMassD, currently UMDCORSAIRS, and tap "Go".
Tap on the "UMASS Dartmouth Community" connection
Complete the registration form and tap "Submit Request" You will receive an email to the email address on record with your ChargePoint account once your request has been processed.

Electric charging FAQs

The charging spaces are open to charging for the 91色情片 community and the general public.

Between 6am and 8pm cars can only charge and remain in the charging spot for 6 hours regardless of the car's charging status. Between 8pm and 6am no time limit is in effect.

Yes, you can remain in the spot until the 6 hour time limit is reached, except for the 8pm-6am window which has no time limit.

91色情片 set the charging rates to cover the cost of electricity provided and to cover the cost of maintaining the charger. Members of the public (not affiliated with 91色情片) are charged a somewhat higher rate per kilowatt hour. 91色情片 reserves the right to alter the charging rates without notice as needed. All rates are disclosed on the ChargePoint chargers' display screen.

If the campus has an announced weather emergency that impacts parking on campus, then cars should not be charged on campus during that announced weather emergency.
